Hey papi and mommy... everything is good here.

Yesterday turned out to be a lot better at night, when there was more to do...

Jon and I went to a really cool hole in the wall restaraunt called Albahaca, that served amazing dishes of tapas. We had eggplant, fish, little eels, and sausage for a great deal. Oh and a pitcher of sangria too. We struck up a little friendship with the waiter and even met some people who were in our same hostel.

Later we went to a different place called Almenas, which is a little bar-hangout, hoping to see some flamenco. Apparently it is run by this elderly lady who invites her friends over for some music and spirits and in the meantime anyone is welcome to come in as they like. However, the bar didn't open until after midnight meaning I knew it would be more like twelve thirty. Jon of course was astonished by this late night social gathering and for an hour while we waited at other local bars, all he could say was... "NO WAY When do these people sleep? There is no way they get started at 12. Are you serious? They're crazy." He wanted to go to sleep so bad but when they finally opened the bar and he saw how cool it would be, he suddenly got excited.

It was two guitarists, a drummer, and anyone who wanted to sing could sing. In addition, anyone who wanted to get up and dance sevillanas could just go up and dance too. The two women running the little gathering were sisters. One, was a no nonsense bartender who was straight to the point, and the other lady was the main attraction of the show. Both were well into their fifties, big, and entertaining. The lady who sang was obviously everybody's favorite and would even crack jokes or single out anyone unfamiliar in the audience during her singing. She even yelled at a tall german standing in the doorway to come on in, that "even the giants are welcomed in here"... and the audience roared with laughter. It was a very informal scene last night, and Jon probably ended up loving it the most out of anyone there. Probably the most entertaining attraction was a lonely and drunken old man who flirted with every woman in the bar and dedicated every song to her. He would even go up and sing for a while too.

Today we woke up, walked alllllllllllllll day long, and visited the Alcazar. for launch we found a little place that served cuban food and I had a little piece of chicken breast covered in a coconut curry sauce and rice. We later walked around, visited the castle, saw some sights, and bought our bus ticket to Lagos. We are going to Lagos now and I'm totally content with the idea. I am not looking back. I figured I could visit Morocco some other time. Besides, the whole trip Jon was talking about Lagos and I want him to be able to go. However, if two beds open up here by tonight, Jon and I are going to stay here an extra night and head to Granada tomorrow. But as of now, there are no openings, so it pretty much seems we'll be headed to Lagos tomorrow.

Tonight, we are going to eat, and then head to La Carboneria. It has a live flamenco show every night and it's free. Tonight the hostel is going together as a group at 10, but Jon and I heard through the grapevine that it is a touristy bar and kind of noisy, so we will be going earlier than the others to get a good seat. Last night, we got front row center and we are determined to do it again. In addition, after that show, we will return to Almenas after midnight and see the sisters again.

If I email it will be tomorrow night after traveling for the day. We will literally be on the bus all day so who knows when we'll get into Lagos. Right now I am excited for Jon because he is seriously peeing his pants to see this place. Hopefully it'll be nice! Talk to you soon. And mommy, write me an email!!
